Today in math, we made original versions of Mr. Gallon to help remember how many pints are in a quart, etc.  Some people chose to display them in the hall where our Sierpinski’s triangles and pi plates were hanging.

We had an assembly to talk about Habitat for Humanity–we’re now collecting nickels and other coins to support them.

In  language arts we wrote stories based on the roll of a die –that’s how we chose the topic, the audience, and the style of writing.

In social studies, we read from the Hakim book about the 4 voyages of Christopher Columbus–the good (the Columbian exchange) and the bad (slavery)…

(Something happened during clean-up and today’s blog entry written by the students got erased, so the teacher is writing it today!)
