Today’s math: write multiplication word problems.  Here are a few generated in class today:

There are 10 dragons.  Each dragon ate 5 people.  How many poeple were eaten in all? (5 x 10 = 50 people)

There were 6 tires on the truck.  They were all out of air.  If it takes 11 pumps of air to fill one tire, how many pumps of air would it take to fill all six? (6 x 11= 66 pumps)

Ruth’s lunchbox had 3 pockets.  In each pocket there were two apples and 5 crackers.  How many crackers in all? (3 x 5 = 15)
